The process

Step 1

Have you been eyeing up an artwork for your home or business? Would you like a custom piece that is one of a kind? Let’s have a chat about your space and what colours you have in mind. Email me or fill out a form on my website to get the ball rolling.

Step 2

I will experiment with photographing your selected colours through sheets of retro glass, playing with lighting and reflections. I will then send you some of my favourite selections. If you already know where the artwork will be hung, I can also mock up these test shots in your home so you can get a better idea of how it will transform your space.

Step 3

Select your favourite photograph, canvas size, framing and pay a 50% deposit. I will then start painting! The painting process takes roughly 4-6 weeks. If you would like your painting framed, please allow an extra 4 weeks.

Step 4

When your artwork is complete, you will receive an invoice for the remaining 50% and we will organise pick up, delivery or shipping.

You will now have an original art piece that is one of a kind! Each original artwork also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity incase you would like to sell it in the future.

It gives me the warm fuzzies seeing where my finished paintings end up! Please feel free to send me photos of the artwork in it’s new home.

Please note: I use my photography as a guide only. Once I’m in the painting process, I may change aspects of the painting depending on how I imagine the composition. Colours will also vary slightly from the mocked up photograph.

Having an artwork designed specifically for you and your space is a way to find a unique piece that you can cherish.

Caring for your artwork

The best type of light for your painting is indirect sunlight, recessed lighting, and halogen lights.

Use a clean towel or a feather duster and lightly remove the dirt on the surface of the painting.

Don’t use water, soap, or household cleaners. Keep acrylic paintings away from direct or extreme heat, cold, and humidity. Acrylic paint becomes soft around 60° so display your paintings far from ovens, stoves, heating lamps, or any other source of heat inside the room.

Don’t touch the surface of an acrylic painting. Your fingernail may accidentally leave a dent or put extra pressure on the painting which will lessen the value of the piece.
